My Champion juicer worked fine the first time but now when I plug it in it doesn't turn on? The newer model Champion Juicers have a sensor located on the juicing parts that will not allow the unit to operate unless all parts are properly positioned (refer to trouble-shooting section of the owner's manual).
My Champion juicer produces warm juice even though I juice as slowly as possible. Why? Warm juice can only be created by operating the unit to slowly. The Champion requires a constant introduction of new material. (Average juice time to make 1qt. = 6 min).
Why does my Champion juicer make a loud clicking noise when I feed vegetables into it ? The clicking sound is created by the motor's centrifugal switch. The first possibility is feeding the unit to aggressively. The second possibility could be a dull cutter.
What is the best way to keep my juicer looking new? Good clean up is important. Soak the parts overnight in a strong solution of dish soap. If stains are extreme add bleach to the solution, then rinse thoroughly.
Is it safe to put my juicer's parts in the dishwasher? For the Champion juicer, NO, these parts are not dishwasher safe. The parts are made from stainless steel and then laminated with nylon. These two materials heat and cool differently and would eventually cause a problem. For other juicers, check your manufacturer's instructions.
On my Champion Juicer, what's the difference between the regular screen and the optional large hole screen? It's just like it sounds. The regular screen has holes that are smaller to allow less pulp into the juice. The large hole screen allows a much greater amount of pulp to enter juice. (Approximately 50% more pulp. This will vary depending on material.
Will the Champion grain mill attachment work on my older Champion Juicer? The optional grain mill will work on all Champions produced over the years. Some small size modifications are required for customers having extremely old juicers. (For information about the grain mill attachment contact us.)
How often should I replace the cutter on my Champion Juicer? The cutter wear is based on usage. Customers using the Champion only occasionally may get 10-15 years of service. With heavy use the cutters need replacement every 18-24 months. If you have concerns our customer service people can assist you.
How much is shipping? Shipping costs are displayed at checkout.
Do I have to pay sales tax? Most states charge sales or use tax. Sales tax is charged by us for sales to California and Idaho. From all other states, you are responsible to pay your own state's use tax.
How can I avoid pulp build-up in the back of the lid? Try juicing slower as wet produce is more likely to build-up in the lid. To release pulp, lightly tap on the side of the lid.
How can I keep the pulp out of the juice? Always empty the pulp basket when it becomes full. This will also help prevent pulp from leaking in the juice.
Why does the juicer vibrate when turned on? If excessive noise or vibrations occur after juicer is turned on, possibly pulp may have built-up on the filter basket. Clean the filter basket and try alternating different types of produce while juicing. Note: Because of the juicers' powerful motor, a small amount of noise and/or vibration is normal when the juicer is turned on and as it comes to a complete stop. All juicers sound slightly different.
How can I keep juice from spraying all over as it comes out the spout? To manage the amount of spray as juice pours out of the spout, juice the produce as slowly as possible to avoid excessive pulp build-up inside the lid &juice bowl. Keep the pulp basket emptied for good air flow through the machine.
What is the best juicer for doing a large amount of wheatgrass every day? Commercial juicers work best as far as speed goes, like the Super Angel Juicer but if you want to stay at lower costs we recommend the Omega 8006, it does quite a good job and it will get the pulp just as dry as the commercial juicers.
What is the best juicer for harder fruits and vegetables? If you aren't going to juice the greens and wheatgrass at all the Breville or the Omega BMJ or 4000, but if you want the option of the wheatgrass and greens the Hurom or Omega Vert 330 Juicers are all excellent at extracting juice from harder vegetables.
What juicer would you recommend if I wanted to juice both wheatgrass and fruits and vegetables? The Hurom and Omega Vert are excellent, also the Omega 8004/8006 series or the Samson 6 in 1.
