Pomona’s Universal Pectin is a sugar-free,preservative-free, low methoxyl citrus pectin that isactivated by calcium. Since it does not require sugar tojell, jams and jellies can be made with less, little or nosugar. Some other possible sweeteners are honey, fructose,sucanat, concentrated fruit sweetner, maple syrup, agave,frozen juice concentrate, stevia, xylitol, Splenda orother sweeteners. 1 ounce makes two to four recipes.
Each 1/2 lb bag of “Pomona’s Pectin” contains a 1/2ozpacket of calcium powder and a sheet of directions andrecipes.
Note: 1/2 lb bulk package comes in a simpleplastic bag as packaged by the manufacturer.
