Recipes

What is the good of collecting recipes all of your life if you never share them?  How will others know what is good and what is not?  But then, we all have different tastes, so you love one food and I love something else.  But share anyway.  It will help your friends and neighbors feel your love and be able to sort life out easier.

Because we sell fruit, vegetable, and leaf juice extractors we share recipes of good juice blends.  We are always looking for healthy, tasty juices to share with you.  Come back often and enjoy the things we share.

Grandmother’s Best Bean Soup

Love,  from Grandmother Lois

3-4 cups bean mix – soak overnight.  Use warm water – makes beans more tender

Drain and add 2 quarts water, ham hock or smoked sausage drained.  Simmer 3 hours.  Add 1 large onion, chopped.  1 large can tomatoes, one red pepper or teaspoon chili powder.  Juice of 1 lemon, 1 clove garlic minced.  Salt and pepper to taste.  Add potatoes, celery and carrots.  Simmer an hour or more.  I add 1 teaspoon liquid smoke awhile before serving.  Good next day also.
